Hagar, Abraham’s mistress

Hagar, the Egyptian slave in the service of Sarah, Abraham's wife, had a son from her master to whom they called Ishmael, considered the ancestor of Arabian peoples. One day, bored with her owner, Hagar abandoned the camp. The Angel of the Lord found her near a fountain and persuaded her to return.

O Anjo do Senhor encontrou-a junto duma fonte e convenceu-a a regressar.
