Crossing the Red Sea (Travessia do Mar Vermelho)

According to the Book of Exodus (14:16), God told Moses: “lift up your rod, and stretch out your hand over the sea and divide it. And the children of Israel shall go on dry ground through the midst of the sea”. Having arrived safely to the other side (15:1) they thanked for the Egyptian defeat: “I will sing unto the Lord, for he has triumphed gloriously: the horse and his rider has he thrown into the sea.”

Precipitou no mar cavalos e cavaleiros».
