I think I'm really going to like this appliance. I wasn't quite sure what it really did at first. I was thinking it was a slow cooker. Its more than that. It can be, but it also can sear, boil, steam, simmer & saute.

So far, I've done a pot roast & a stir fry in the multicooker. It handled both small pieces of meat and a large roast like a pro. I wanted to brown my roast before cooking and I did it right there in the cooker - you can't do that in a crock pot!

The steam vent was perfect in my stir fry - once everything was nearly done, I opened the vent to allow some of the liquid to cook off. It came out perfect. My wok was jealous.

For it's compact size, it holds a lot and does a great job cooking it too!
