Bernardo Bellotto (ca 1721-1780) a wanderer painter

He was known as Canaletto because he was Giovanni Antonio Canal’s nephew. He traveled through various cities of East Central Europe, namely Vienna, Dresden and Warsaw. He always had work to de done but he liked a constant change of scene.


Conheciam-no por Canaletto por ser sobrinho de Giovanni António Canal. Viajou por várias cidades da Europa Central o Oriental, nomeadamente Viena de Áustria, Dresda e Varsóvia. Trabalho não lhe faltava mas gostava de mudar de ambiente.
