Mythic Paint ~ Low Odor, Zero VOC, Non Toxic Paints ~ GIVEAWAY!!! ~ Ends 6/14

Mythic® paint is a non-toxic, ultra low odor paint that provides the durability and coverage you expect from a premium paint without the off-gassing VOC’s and cancer-causing toxins that emit years after drying. Stronger, safer, smarter paint. Now that’s a breath of fresh air.

I am so excited about this review & even more excited that I get to share with you all!

Let me tell you about my project & experience with Mythic paint.

I decided to paint the kitchen as my project. It was an off white and I wanted to just freshen it up. So I chose the the off white shade Bonehead from the David Bromstad Color Collection #3-Kitchen and Bath Edition.

White on white - nothing could be easier, right? WRONG! I had measured square footage of the kitchen and ordered my paint using their online paint estimator tool. I was running out of paint way too quickly and was certain I wouldn't have enough to finish the job.

I spoke with Mythic's fab PR rep who put me in touch with the Mythic paint specialist - Vic. He informed me that covering white with white can be difficult if the shades of white differ. The shades I was working with were different. The current shade had a violet undertone - the new shade had a yellow undertone. The result was shadow that took two coats to cover.

Vic was great. His concern was making me happy. You see Mythic is known for great coverage, but there are tricky occasions in painting and of course my luck insists that my kitchen walls be one of those times :) But after explaining what was happening, Vic walked me through tricks to help with my white on white situation.

I ordered more paint and applied thicker coats and got the job done! It looks nice and fresh. And with a nice fresh paint job, you have to freshen up the whole kitchen. We did new rugs, blinds & valances, and even new flatware! Did a full re-vamp.

It was a lot of work but I enjoyed it. I am trying to stay active in this pregnancy and I was able to paint during pregnancy because Mythic is so wonderfully non -toxic. Almost no odor I never felt like I was doing something harmful - because I wasn't.

A feel good, quality product that is conscious of your health and the health of the environment - backed by a team of great people. Thank you Mythic for what you do.
