Aventais maçónicos do grau de Mestre (Masonic aprons of the degree of Master)

A Maçonaria começou como corporação medieval de trabalhadores da 'pedra bruta'. Com o desaparecimento das grandes construções a Maçonaria Operativa transformou-se em Maçonaria Especulativa com a finalidade de organizar o desenvolvimento intelectual e cívico dos seus obreiros. Estes agruparam-se em Lojas e Ritos os quais se integraram em federações denominadas: Grande Loja (Deístas), Grande Oriente (Agnósticos). A Maçonaria Especulativa possui três graus simbólicos para os seus Obreiros: Aprendiz, Companheiro e Mestre, grau que em certos Ritos se desdobra em vários. Nas sessões de Loja os Obreiros usam Avental distinto conforme o grau.

With the disappearance of large buildings Operative Freemasonry became Speculative Freemasonry in order to organize the intellectual and civic development of their workers. These were grouped in Lodges and Rites which are integrated into federations called: Grand Lodge (Deists), Great Orient (Agnostics). Speculative Masonry has three symbolic degrees to its workers: Apprentice, Fellow Craft and Master degree in certain rites unfolds in several. Shop at the sessions of the workers wear Apron distinguished according to the degree.
