Hic et nunc

The term 'here and now' is associated with the existential philosophy because the immediacy represents the fragility of the human condition. The only viewpoint which counts is our own. There is no demand for exemption, the vision of the "strict facts." According to Walter Benjamin, this guarantees the authenticity of a work of art.
