Banquetes greco-romanos (Greco-roman banquet)

Os Gregos comiam junto de pequenas mesas e o mesmo acontecia com os Romanos. Tomavam as refeições deitados em sofás sobre o lado esquerdo. Os escravos lavavam os pés empoeirados dos convidados. Estes lavavam as mãos porque comiam com elas.

The Greeks ate with small tables and so did the Romans. Taking meals reclining on couches on the left side. Slaves washed the dusty feet of guests. They washed their hands because they ate with them.
