Neste poema épico medieval de anónimo alemão, a figura central é Sigfrido. Desloca-se no seu cavalo até à corte dos Burgúndios com a finalidade de casar com a princesa Cremilda. Ajuda o rei Gunther a vencer as imposições de Brunilde com quem pretende casar. Após a morte de Sigfrido a sua viúva casa com Átila, que apenas pretende o tesouro dos Burgúndios. Hagen deita ao Reno o ouro dos Nibelungos.
In this medieval epic poem of German anonymous origin Siegfried is the central figure. He rides his horse to the court of the Burgundians in order to marry princess Kriemhilda. He helps King Gunther to overcome the constraints of Brunhilda who he intends to marry. After Siegfried's death his widow marries Attila, who just wants the Burgundians’ treasure. Hagen throws the Nibelungs’ gold to the Rhine.
