Humanity has benefited from a considerable number of studies. Among the most important are: Koch, who discovered the microorganism responsible for tuberculosis; the discovery of penicillin by Fleming; Lavoisier’s studies in Physics; Pasteur for his vaccines and the establishment of the periodic table of chemical elements by Mendeleev.
