Wishbone is a favorite of mine from back in the day. Juju had never heard of Wishbone so I was excited to sit down and watch it with him. He really enjoyed it. We watched all the episodes and then discussed the classic stories they portrayed. It's one he asks to watch over again.

Everyone loves Sesame Street! What a fun way for children to learn about Chanukah & a little bit about the history behind it. And to further enrich and engage Jewish children and foster their Jewish identity. We enjoyed these movies together - they got Julien asking lots of questions, which is always good. Some of his questions I had to research to answer which is good for me too!

Episodes include:

“Party Animals” - The farmer throws a costume party for his birthday. When Bitzer loses all the invitations, Shaun saves the day again. Disguised in their own ingenious costumes, the sheep stand in as the guests. But can they fool the Farmer into believing he is surrounded by his friends?



“Double Trouble” - A bored Shaun dresses up as the Farmer to entertain the flock. Realizing he now has the power to boss Bitzer around; Shaun takes the opportunity to throw a party for the flock. All goes according to plan until Bitzer puts two and two together. Then Shaun encounters the real Farmer...



“Hair Today, Gone Tomorrow” - The Farmer is preparing for a date! He wants to look his best so it’s time to dust off his prized hairpiece. Shaun can’t resist trying the wig on but loses it while showing off to the flock. The race is on as Shaun and Bitzer try to return the wig in time for the Farmer’s big night.



“Pig Swill Fly” - The farm is looking spotless and everyone is on their best behavior when the dreaded farm inspector pays a visit. While the Inspector checks out the inside of the farmhouse, war breaks out in the field between the sheep and the pigs. Can Bitzer prevent the Inspector from noticing as the chaos escalates outside?



· “Operation Pidsley” - While the Farmer is away, the sheep sneak into the farmhouse for a party. But when Pidsley snaps a photograph of the fun and games, Shaun and Bitzer need to catch the malicious cat before he can show the incriminating evidence to the Farmer.



“Shaun Goes Potty” - The farm receives a delivery of a brand new pool table. Before the Farmer can take it indoors, Bitzer and the flock have a game with disastrous consequences. They must repair the damage before the Farmer finds out!



“Pig Trouble” - When Bitzer injures his foot and can’t work, the Farmer chooses the pigs to take over his role. The power crazy pigs take the opportunity to turn the farm into a porky paradise – at the sheep’s expense. Bitzer tries in vain to warn his master what is going on behind his back, but it’s Shaun who steps in and restores the status quo.
 
We love shaun the Sheep. It's witty & wholesome - like old school cartoons - nothing adult about it, just cute funny stuff. I like to sit down with Ju & watch it - it's entertaining to me too :)

Thomas & Friends: Misty Island Rescue ~ DVD ~ GIVEAWAY!!! ~ Ends 9/24

A new Search and Rescue Centre is being built on the Island of Sodor as a base of operations for Harold, Rocky, and a new lifeboat named Captain. Special super strong, deep red Jobi wood, from Hiro's homeland, is being used to make the Center. All the engines are very excited and all want to help deliver the Jobi wood to the Rescue Center. Diesel, convinced that he is better than the steamies, decides to take the Jobi wood to the rescue center himself and races down the tracks with the Jobi wood. Thomas sees that Diesel is going too fast and chases after him. The chase results in an exciting rescue as Thomas saves Diesel from falling over a cliff edge but the Jobi wood crashes into the sea below - now there is no wood to build the Rescue Center.

As a reward for his daring rescue Thomas is given the job of collecting new wood from the mainland. He is then told there is no room on the steam boat, but Thomas asks to be carried on a raft behind the boat. Thomas waves goodbye to his friends at Brendham Docks and heads across the sea to the mainland. That night the raft carrying Thomas becomes separated from its tugboat and Thomas ends up alone and stranded on the mysterious Misty Island - a wild and wonderful island with a multitude of secret hide outs, rickety tracks, and bridges. Thomas discovers that the island has its own railway, and meets the three engines, known as the "Logging Locos", who run it - Ferdinand, and two small twin engines named Bash and Dash, who were sent to the island after causing trouble on the mainland. Thomas also finds that Misty Island has plentiful supplies of the rare Jobi wood! With the help of his new friends, Thomas attempts to find his way back to Sodor and uncovers more of Misty Island's mysteries - including a tunnel that connects the two islands! Meanwhile, out at sea, Harold and Captain carry out a search party to look for Thomas.

I haven't gotten to watch this title myself. I normally enjoy watching with ju. Things have been a bit crazy around here lately :) Juju tells me it was a very good movie and that Thomas gets lost & scared by three new engines.

As always, Thomas is a huge favorite in our home & that is good because Thomas shows that being useful is important :)
